Imo State

Located in Nigeria's South-East geopolitical zone, Imo State shares borders with Anambra State to the north, Rivers State to the west and south, and Abia State to the east.
The Imo River, which flows along the state's eastern border, is the source of the name. The "Eastern Heartland" is the state nickname, while Owerri serves as the capital.
